Blocks and Interlock Testing in Jeddah — Coastal Environment Resistance
Jeddah's coastal humidity accelerates cement matrix deterioration in low-quality masonry units. ASAS Lab tests per SASO GSO 68: compressive strength, water absorption, and dimensional tolerance. For coastal projects, we add sulfate and chloride resistance verification. Interlock pavers for corniche walkways and commercial areas are tested for wear resistance per BS EN 1338 and slip resistance — critical in wet coastal environments. Certified reports accepted by Jeddah Municipality.

FAQ About Blocks, Interlock & Curbstones Testing
SASO 1006 requires minimum compressive strength of 7 MPa for load-bearing blocks and 4 MPa for non-load-bearing. Interlock pavers must achieve minimum 35 MPa per ASTM C936.
